Russian Black Terrier Breeders

The Russian Black Terrier Club encourages all UK-based breeders of Russian Black Terriers to take part in, or to follow the requirements of, the Royal Kennel Club Assured Breeder scheme, which promotes good breeding practice and recognises those breeders who participate in the scheme.

The Russian Black Terrier Club also encourages all UK-based RBT breeders, when breeding, to bear in mind the health and temperament of both parents, to breed only from Royal Kennel Club-registered dogs and bitches that conform as closely as possible to the breed standard, to ensure that both parents have been screened for both hip and elbow dysplasia and HUU and JLPP, and also to ensure that the results of both those screenings are recorded in the Royal Kennel Club’s Health Test Results database.

The Club expects that all Russian Black Terrier breeders in the UK and beyond will produce puppies from parents that have been selected based on their genetic, temperament and health profiles, who have been loved and well taken care of, and that the bitch will have been provided with a stress-free environment in which to rear her pups in order to equip them with the necessary components to see them through their first few months of life.
