Russian Black Terrier Club Judges List Criteria 2023

Judges and Aspiiring Judges Wishing To Join the Russian Black Terrier Club Judges List Should Complete and Return the Application Form Which Can Be Downloaded Here.

A3 List (Breed Specialists)
For persons who fulfil all the requirements of the B & C list and who have:

(1) A minimum of 7 years judging experience in the breed and the support of the Russian Black Terrier Club.

(2) Judged a minimum of 40 dogs in the breed.

(3) Attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer, and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures.

(4) Attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement.

(5) Attended either a Conformation and Movement Hands-on Assessment conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment or attended a Points of the Dog Assessment conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment. 

(7) Attended at least one Breed Specific Seminar, given by the Russian Black Terrier Club in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice, and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.

(8) Bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 dogs when they obtained their 1st entry in The Kennel Club Stud Book (save in exceptional circumstances).                             

(9) Stewarded over a minimum of 12 full days at shows.

A3 List (Non Specialists)

For persons who fulfil all the requirements of the B & C list and who have:

(1) A minimum of 7 years judging experience in any one breed (to include 5 years in this breed) and the support of the Russian Black Terrier Club.

(2) Judged a minimum of 40 dogs in the breed.

(3) Awarded CCs in at least one other breed.

(4) Attended at least one Breed Specific Seminar, given by the Russian Black Terrier Club in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice, and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.

(5) Bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 dogs of any breed when they obtained their 1st entry in The Kennel Club Stud Book (save in exceptional circumstances).

B List (Breed Specialists)

For persons who fulfil all the requirements of the C list and who have:

(1) A minimum of 5 years experience owning and exhibiting in this breed and the support of the Russian Black Terrier Club.

(2) Judged 25 dogs in the breed.

(3) Attended at least one Breed Specific Seminar, given by the Russian Black Terrier Club in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice, and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.

B List (Non Specialists)

For persons who fulfil all the requirements of the C list and who have:

(1) A minimum of 5 years judging experience in any one breed and the support of the Russian Black Terrier Club.

(2) Judged 25 dogs in the breed.

(3) Attended at least one Breed Specific Seminar, run by the Russian Black Terrier Club in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice, and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.

C List (Breed Specialists)

For aspiring judges who have:

1) A minimum of 5 years proven interest in pedigree dogs.

2) Attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Requirements of a Dog Show Judge (it is not mandatory to take and pass the examination at this stage). 

3) Attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement.

4) Completed a minimum of 2 full days Stewarding.

5) Shown an interest in the breed and have the support of the Russian Black Terrier Club.

C List (Non Specialists)

For aspiring judges who have:

1) A minimum of 5 years proven interest in pedigree dogs.

2) Attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Requirements of a Dog Show Judge (it is not mandatory to take and pass the examination at this stage).

3) Attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement.

4) Completed a minimum of 2 full days Stewarding.

5) Shown an interest in the breed and have the support of the Russian Black Terrier Club.
